Entries can belong to any genre (understood as Fantasy, Sci-fi, Historical, etc.) as long as the category rules are observed.
The entry price for THE GOLDEN NERD 2024 is an admission ticket to Nørdmarked on 16/11. This ticket grants access to participate in all categories.
To help us prepare for the event, please send your name, a photo of your entry, and an optional short description to contact@nordmarked.dk by Monday, 11/11. All who do this will receive a free drink of their choice on the event day, 16/11!
We will try to allow late registrations and those who arrive with their entries on the day, as we aim to have as many participants as possible!
All entries must be submitted NO LATER than Saturday, 16/11, at 11:00 AM! Judges will begin deliberations at 11:30, so we must reject any entries submitted after this time.
The painting judges will not participate in the competition or win prizes, but they have been permitted to exhibit their creations for display and inspiration.
By participating in THE GOLDEN NERD 2024 at Nørdmarked on 16/11, all participants agree that organizers may use photos and video footage of the entries and participants. These photos and videos may be used in future marketing materials, on social media, the website, and for future events. By participating, you consent to Nørdklub Denmark using your visual work in these materials.
Nørdklub Denmark / Nørdmarked reserves the right not to accept and thus disqualify any entry from the competition due to content or message.
*CATEGORIES
Single Humanoid or Monstrous Miniature up to 55mm height
A chosen single model up to 55mm in height. Height is measured from the lowest to the highest point of the figure itself. Banners and other protruding parts are not counted in the height.
The model may be mounted or in a vehicle, but this is included in the height.
Small decorative figures on the base and similar additions are allowed, but the main figure should remain the focus.
Any large single miniature, monster, or vehicle
A chosen single model over 55mm in height (excluding the base). The same rules apply as for small single models.
Large figures may include monsters, large animals, and beasts, or vehicles / tanks / airplanes, etc. Focus on painting techniques suited for large models.
Group or Diorama
A group consists of 3 to 10 models that are thematically connected.
A diorama is a creative entry focusing on storytelling, atmosphere, and/or interaction between characters. For example, it could be a duel, a narrative scene from a story, or a framed diorama.
For practical and space reasons, the base/overall area of the entry must not exceed 30cm x 20cm.
Judges will assess uniformity, color consistency, composition, and how well the entry works together, as well as the quality of individual figures.

This special award is open to all participants under 15 years old, regardless of category!
All eligible young painters will automatically be considered for this prize, which will be awarded based on overall performance across categories.
